This is Dystiny, my Son's fiance' and my soon to be official grand kids, Elicia and Michael ( we call him Bubba). I say soon to be because this Saturday is the wedding and I couldn't be more proud and happy for the selection Ian has made. They are posing in front of the chopper I built for my Son while he was a Marine (Simper Fi, UH RAH!!) and stationed in Africa. It's sold and gone now but it was pretty damn nice if I must say so myself.
This is him with the two rug rats in front of their house in Fresno, where we will be going tomorrow for the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. I just came back from the Men's Warehouse with the tux I rented for said wedding. Wait till they get a load of me in that monkey suit, women will faint and men will stare in awe at my dashing and debonair stylings.
I know I'm repeating myself but I am just so damn proud of this whole thing. My Son who made such a wise choice, his soon to be wife who is just a most excellent human being and the grand kids I am inheriting bring Nancy and I so much joy I can hardly put it into words. You have these kids when you are hardly more than a kid yourself and you make all these awful mistakes raising them and you wonder how they will survive in this rat race, hoping against hope they will do a better job of it than you have, and in this case he has. He's made some mistakes and blunders along the way but it's how we deal with those things that proves who we are and makes us men and women. He has stuck to things when I would have given up and waited on things when I might have made bad choices. He's a smart one and so is she and together they make a great couple who I am sure will endure and prosper and grow together in wisdom and love. I gotta quit now before I get all.....you know.
Congrats Kev and family!
